When food is cooked with a positive energy you can taste it, feel it. We taste the love in our food when made by someone that projects love, caring, and joy. It is most likely why mom’s chicken soup taste better then anyone else’s. This energy can lift our spirits when we have a bad day at school or work. It can help heal us when we are sick. There is no limit to what this energy within our food can do for us.
The same can be said about the opposite, negative energy. I know when I cook while I am frustrated, stressed out or just down right angry my recipe suffers. That energy goes into my food and it not only tastes bad but spreads to my family turning their moods sour without understanding why.
It’s connected to the intention that we project, even if you do not realize it that energy is absorbed and transfers to those around us. I explain to people all the time that magic has no color to it. There is no white or black magic. It is will, energy and intention you put behind your actions and words is what gives it a color. You can do the most loving spell written with negative energy and change that spell into something dark. The same is true with a recipe. You can cook the same thing over and over to the point you have memorized it but that one time you cook with negativity it will not come out right.
Generally speaking, the Tarot is viewed by many as a fixed system. This means every deck will typically be the same 78 cards, 22 Major Arcana, 56 Minor Arcana, with the same type of meaning to each card.
In my studies and in my own decks I have found that though the meanings generally applies from deck to deck not all Tarot decks will have the same names of Major Arcana or suits for the Minor Arcana.
Below is the general meaning for each card:
The Fool – Upright: Cycles, Guidance (needed), Innocence, Optimism, Openness, New Beginnings, Spirituality, Spontaneity
Reversed: Discipline (needed), Fear of Commitment, Look before you Leap, Holding Back, Naivety, Recklessness, Risk-Taking
While meditation might sound like something that everyone can do in just a few simple minutes, the honest truth is that there is more to it than just sitting in a quiet space with your hands on your knees and saying “Om”.
When you start to learn to meditate you may wish to look for an experienced teacher or group to help you understand all of the steps to mediating.
Sitting there and closing your eyes and just hoping it will work will lead to no where and feeling frustrated with the practice all together. Once you have an understanding of the steps taken with each form of meditation and know which is right for you and your personality then you will see the results so many rave about.
