Weekly Pagan Lingo – Angel:

To many pagans the title angel is another word for a spiritual being who acts as a messenger between the realm of the divine (your higher power) and the physical plane (the mortal plane).

The image that is commonly used to represent angels is not the only image an angel can take on. I personally believe that angels can go by many titles such as spirits, guardians, spirit guide, fairy, sprite and so on. It really does all depend on how you view your personal messenger between yourself and your deity.

It is believed by most traditions and belief systems that this being has never been an incarnated state.

The Full Moon in May

When there is a full moon in the month of May it is ideal to focus your magickal work towards divination, enchantment, fertility, love and well being.

In most areas by the time May arrives flowers are abundant everywhere, so it’s not surprising that the full moon should take the name The Flower Moon. Other names associated with a full moon in May are Budding Moon, Egg Moon, Faery Moon, Goddess Moon, Hare Moon, and Milk Moon.

This Sabbat is one of the four Lesser Sabbats or Quarter ceremonies. Typically they contain the Solstices and Equinoxes representing the astronomical beginnings of the seasons. Midsummer’s day is the longest day of the year.
