I had so much fun last night doing readings for you all. Thank you to everyone that made my first live card reading so amazingly magickal. You all made my night and I hope to read for you again.

Again if you missed out on the live reading please go to the services area of the page and book your free 1 card reading with me.

If you want your reading to be during a live video great news! I had so much fun and we had such a great turn out that I plan to do a live reading every other Saturday.

Keep an eye out for the early announcement of the next reading and get your name on my list. 😊

Brigid

Brigid, the Celtic goddess of fire, healing, smithing, fertility, and poetry is considered the patron Goddess of Imbolc.

Activity you can do this Imbolc is weave “Brigit’s crosses” from straw or wheat to hang around the house for protection.

Sage

With the New Year many of us desire to manifest things like new blessings, new you, new energy, new opportunities. So it does not surprise me to see a lot of people posting about smudging.

It is a great way to clear out all of that old stale, lingering energy and welcome new things into your space and self.

Most Pagans/Wiccans/Witches are familiar with sage as the main herb you use for smudging. It is a rather common in the pagan community to envision sage bound in a wand for such a practice.

But did you know that not all Sage is created equal? It’s true. There are two common types of sage used when making wands, desert and white. The thing many people don’t know is they used for different types of clearings.

White Sage: can be used to lift/clear energy through out a space or around a person. Some people use it as an aura cleanser.

Desert Sage: can be used to help open new doors or opportunities in your life when you feel a bit at a stand still or stuck in a rut. It is good for grounding and is said to carry with it more of a “playful” energy.

Share with us your experiences when smudging with either of the sages.

Statement of Intent

This year rather then making a New Year’s resolution I am making a “statement of intent”. This is something spoken about in the book A year and a Day of Everyday Witchcraft by Deborah Blake, my kids got it for me for Yule knowing my love for day to day books.

This year I intend to be a healthier, happier and more focused me. Including accomplishing goals set for my spiritual, lifestyle and educational growth.

How about you?

Samhain

Also known as the Festival of the Dead or All Hallows’ Eve, is the time for us to release the spirits of those who have died during the previous year and for us to honor our ancestors. It is customary in some traditions to set an extra place at your supper table on Samhain in honor of the departed.

Samhain is not a scary time, like some religions or media would like people to believe. What this Sabbat is, is a time when the veil is thin and we can spend time with the spirits of those we loved. This is the time when we say good-bye to those who have left this physical plane. Though this is not a time of sadness, but a way to celebrate with the Dead.

Samhain also celebrates endings, and as such death. It honors the transition from light to dark. The growing time is over for this turn of the Wheel and the Earth begins it’s slumber.
